FROM OUR WORK

Initiatives and
Projects

The valve industry is in constant motion and also moves itself. Accordingly, the tasks of the trade association are characterized by constant change. Political and social developments, legal conditions and, last but not least, demographic changes create a wide variety of framework conditions and changing challenges. This gives rise to a wide range of fields of action for the association, which it addresses in initiatives and projects, among other things. Most recently, the focus was on topics relating to the responsible use of resources.

Brand is more

Not every product and not every company is a brand. Brands are more than the mere designation of origin of a product or service. Brands are the condensed expression of entrepreneurial excellence. Attractive and successful brands know who they are and what services they provide.

Water deserves appreciation

The sanitary industry and its Blue Responsibility initiative

Nothing in this world runs without water. Reason enough to handle this resource responsibly. Unfortunately, this is not the case everywhere. And whether a United Nations agenda with its 17 global sustainability goals can change that may seem questionable. Paper, as we know, is patient. One thing is certain, however: the German sanitary industry values water and offers a wide range of technical solutions to prove it.

Under the umbrella of the sustainability initiative Blue Responsibility, leading brand manufacturers of the sanitary industry that are members of the VDMA Valves Association provide information about their appreciation of water as a resource and the underlying sustainable corporate philosophies. Blue Responsibility is an expression of their shared self-image of a responsible approach to our natural resources.

Smarter heating – the right setting counts

An effective measure to save energy and money is hydraulic balancing. In this process, the components of a heating system are properly matched to each other so that the heat reaches where it is needed.

In our short animation, hydraulic balancing is explained in an easy-to-understand way and you learn why it is so important for efficient heating.
